Visual Music Carnival's (Harajuku Fashion Walk) Press conference

It's funny I haven't blogged about this yet but I was invited a few months ago to be an ambassador for the first ever Harajuku Fashion Walk in Manila Philippines. If you are wondering what Harajuku Fashion Walk is, feel free to read this article and watch the video. It's really inspiring especially if you are a j-fashion enthusiast.

Visual Music Carnival is a diverse event that features different kinds of visual and performing arts. It's advocacy is to provide easier and equal communication for our deaf and mute friends hence the word, "Visual". It's for a cause! Our deaf and mute friends will benefit from this event so please go go go!

We did the press conference yesterday in where we shared with the media what VMC is and one of the activities it is hosting, the Harajuku Fashion Walk.

The truth is, we came only for the food. LOLjk! Omnomnom

Here's Kat Taylor of the rock band, Saydie, one of the organizers and his brother opening the conference.

Hrrr. I hate you Katt. You made me speak in front of so many people. lool. kidding. Of course, I love youuu. *fangirl mode*

So yea, since I was the one who introduced the idea of Harajuku Fashion Walk to her when she came to me for support, I was called to share with the media what HFW is. It's kinda hard to explain since the activity is very spontaneous in the first place sooo.

Interview with MYX and HeroTV

I'm with Ian and Kidd, my co-ambassadors as seen on the poster above. Ian is a mori kei enthusiast and also an owner of a mori kei centered shop, Forestale. It's really rare to see a boy style mori so it's really a pleasure to have him. I've known Kidd for a long time since we share common friends and I'm super happy that we finally get to hang out recently. I can say that Kidd is one of the very first Visual Kei enthusiast I've known locally and that is about 7-8 years ago. Cool huh!

<3

The event was brief so we took snaps of our outfits haha! Street style.

You can get it from me if you want to avoid falling in line.

See you!!

The flowers are making music

The holy week break was divine. Not, divine divine as to I'm not really a religious person. I don't believe in religious practices but I believe in spirituality. What makes the vacation awesome was that I was able to sit down with my newest pieces for Dorotee Sweetlips and finish them in a short period of time. Thanks for the help of my awesome intern and the company of my baby doggie.

Soo, classes started again today and I thought I'd dress up a little. Geez, I miss my old drive in terms of dressing up. I took photos of my outfit before leaving but the heat was sooo scorching that I feel like I'm going down with a heatstroke. I removed my tights after and went for a quick half bath and just wore my comfy pair of flipflops. I always wish I live in a cooler place.

Oh! I forgot to mention I'm back to my rusty hair color. IDK what should I call this color, haha. Let's see if I'll be motivated again to go back to blonde.

Summer is killing meeee! I want to live in the realm of Westeros so I, too, can say "Winter is coming." haha!

HeroTV VJ Myrtle Gail for Dorotee Sweetlips

Gah, I missed blogging about personal stuff. I feel like I'm sounding too redundant lately sharing about the stints I am receiving for Dorotee Sweetlips advertisement. I just can't say no because seriously, it would be a waste to let this kind of opportunities pass. I mean, as an owner of a brand, I would have to pay tons of money to have it advertised on TV or magazine or even have it endorsed by a celebrity.. But people are offering it to me for free and it's really heartwarming that people are interested to share my work to a wider audience. There were no significant and dramatic changes on my sales yet though since this fashion is very niche-based. Still, spreading awareness of the brand and lolita fashion is a must for this business to survive.

Moving on, here are some photos from today's taping for HeroTV where my lovely friend, Myrtle, endorsed a few of Dorotee Sweetlips dresses.

My beau accompanied me that day. My friend, and stint sidekick, Xiar, didn't made it this time due to some health issues sooo I literally nagged Owen the whole morning to come with me.

Taping time!

I got bored in between shoots so this is what happened. :))

This ABS-CBN compound is sooo big I sooo want all the unused spaces. hahaha!

Sorry for mismatched shoes but as you can see at the director's monitor above, they don't include the legs anyway so we didn't bother changing her shoes anymore.

Sooo, that's about it. I'm pretty tired today jumping from this to another appointment so I'm gonna go on and play Candy Crush Saga for relaxation purposes, haha! I have to get up early tomorrow too for a whole day of work with my intern. I hope I wouldn't forget to document this one. See ya!

Dorotee Sweetlips at PhilSTAR's YSTYLE

I offer everything to my Mama who brought me up so well.

Look Ma, your efforts are now bearing fruit.. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for you. How I wish we can share these moments together but thank you for always guiding me. I know it is you who's doing all this magic.

Rhianna Floresca and Alodia Gosiengfiao for Dorotee Sweetlips

If you have been following my posts on Facebook, this news shouldn't be new. Last March 1 was the first day of collaboration I did with a couple of Animax talents, Rhianna and Alodia. The crew was really nice and accommodating and they are really excited about the collaboration as much as I am.

Taping time! Rhianna and Alodia on sweet lolita Dorotee Sweetlips coordinates.

The Ani-mates smiling for my camera. <3
They changed into casual clothes in between segment tapings for variety purposes. Still looking good!

And back again into Dorotee Sweetlips dresses! I've known Alodia ever since I became exposed to the local cosplay community and have heard stories about her good and bad. She's actually pretty welcoming in person and I didn't have a hard time working with her amidst the fame and the sky-high success. (I can tell considering I used to work as a production design intern and I get to work with celebrities way back) I'm pretty curious and excited about her album release in Japan. People can tell things but at the end of the day, she's the one living the dream of a J-pop idol.

My friend Xiarlotte asking for a picture during break time. XD
Rhianna! sooo elegant and really promising. Please like her page here.

Group picture! :3

Soo cute!

Watch out for it at Ani-Time with Alodia, Monday to Friday at 7PM only on ANIMAX!
